Ayurvedic Doctor Consultation
Every treatment at AyurSoul starts with a consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor. It is an unhurried conversation and examination that looks at you as a whole person: your main concern, your health history, how you eat, sleep and digest, your routine and your stress levels.
The aim is simple: to understand why the problem is happening for you, explain it in plain language, and agree a plan you can actually follow.

- Your story. The doctor asks about your main concern, when it started, what makes it better or worse, past illnesses, current medicines and any test reports.
- Daily life. Diet, appetite, digestion, bowel habits, sleep, physical activity, work pattern and stress, because in Ayurveda these are part of the diagnosis, not background details.
- Ayurvedic examination. The classical eight-fold examination (Ashtavidha Pariksha) includes pulse, tongue, eyes, skin, voice and general build, alongside an assessment of your constitution (Prakriti) and current imbalance (Vikriti).
- Your plan, explained. Diet and routine changes, herbal medicines where suitable, and any therapies or Panchakarma the doctor recommends, with the reasoning, expected timeline and costs explained before anything starts.
Who It Is For
- Anyone with a health concern who wants to know what Ayurveda can offer for it
- People with long-standing problems such as joint pain, digestive trouble, skin problems or poor sleep
- Anyone considering Panchakarma (a suitability assessment is required first)
- People who want personal diet and routine guidance based on their constitution
Precautions & Safety
An Ayurvedic consultation is not a substitute for emergency or specialist medical care. If you have chest pain, sudden weakness, severe breathlessness, heavy bleeding or any other urgent symptom, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
Do not stop or change prescribed medicines because of an Ayurvedic consultation. Our doctor will plan Ayurvedic care to work alongside your existing treatment and will tell you when a concern needs conventional assessment first.

Why the Consultation Comes First
Ayurveda is individualised: two people with the same diagnosis may receive different advice depending on their constitution, digestion and circumstances [1]. That is why we do not sell fixed packages without an assessment.
Ayurvedic practice also varies a great deal between practitioners, and researchers have called for clinical practice guidelines to make care more consistent [2]. Early research is testing guideline-based Ayurvedic care, for example a 2026 feasibility trial in type 2 diabetes, which found that a definitive trial is possible but did not yet test effectiveness [3]. We follow a structured assessment so that your plan is based on clear reasoning that can be reviewed.
What to Bring
- Recent test reports, scans and prescriptions
- A list of all medicines and supplements you take, including doses
- Notes on your symptoms if they come and go (when they occur and what triggers them)

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the first consultation take?
The first visit takes longer than a follow-up because it includes a full history and examination. Our team will tell you how much time to allow when you book.
Will I be given medicines at the first visit?
Possibly, but not always. Some people start with diet and routine changes only. If herbal medicines are suitable, the doctor will explain what they are for and how long to take them.
Can I consult if I am already under another doctor's care?
Yes. Please bring your reports and medicine list. Ayurvedic care here is designed to complement your existing treatment, not replace it.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Wear comfortable clothing, bring your reports and medicine list, and avoid a heavy meal just before the visit so the doctor can assess your tongue and digestion more easily.
