Counselling (English & Hindi)
Counselling is a structured talking therapy. In a private, one-to-one conversation, you work with our Clinical Psychologist on stress, anxiety, low mood, sleep problems and difficult life events. Sessions are offered in English and Hindi, so you can speak in the language you find easiest.
Counselling is complementary to medical, gynaecological, psychiatric and specialist care, and so is Ayurvedic treatment. Neither replaces that care.

Precautions & When to Get Urgent Help
If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, call Tele-MANAS 14416 (free, 24×7) or 112 now.
Counselling is not a crisis service. Our Clinical Psychologist does not prescribe medicines or make psychiatric diagnoses. If a diagnosis or medicine is needed, we refer you to a psychiatrist. Seek urgent help if you have thoughts of ending your life or hurting yourself, thoughts of harming someone else, hear or see things others do not, become very confused, or have hardly eaten or drunk for several days. See your doctor promptly if you have not slept for several days, have a sudden change in mood or behaviour, or are drinking more alcohol or using drugs to cope. Call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department straight away for chest pain, breathlessness or fainting, which can come from heart or other medical problems.
See your doctor promptly if low mood, anxiety or sleep problems last for several weeks or affect your work, study or family life.
Do not stop prescribed medicines, including antidepressants, anxiety medicines or sleep medicines, without talking to your prescribing doctor. Tell us about every medicine and supplement you take, since herbs can interact with prescription drugs. Tell us too if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning pregnancy, or have liver or kidney disease, because some herbs are not suitable in these cases.

What a Session Is Like
Your first conversation is a chance to explain what has brought you here and what you hope to change. The psychologist will also ask about your symptoms, history and medicines, so the plan can be shaped around your needs.
Sessions are one-to-one, in English or Hindi. They can focus on understanding what keeps a problem going and building new ways of coping. The number of sessions depends on your goals, and we review progress with you as you go.
Confidentiality
Information you share with the psychologist is not passed on without your consent, except where the law requires it or where there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s. Ask us about the full confidentiality policy before your first session. [OWNER HOLD: confirm against the clinic’s written policy and remove this note before publishing.]
How Counselling Works with Ayurvedic Care
Ayurveda describes your basic constitution as Prakriti (your natural pattern of body and mind). We do not claim a combined benefit from counselling and Ayurvedic care. See Mind-Body Assessment and meet the team on the doctors page.
